I bought a 1979 Chinon CM-4 film camera in Tijuana. Film is expensive, so before wasting a roll I decided to learn exactly how this machine works — by taking apart its specs, one line at a time. So here is my three step plan Understand what I really have in my hands. Michael Butkus created a comprehensive document that covers the details and specifications of the Chinon CM 4.
Got myself a new camera. A 35mm half-frame Olympus Pen EES-2 with zone focusing. My first roll with this camera has been the Lomochrome Metropolis shot in ASA 400. That is an odd film in my opinion, I enjoy films that do color shifts and make the photogram more interesting, but I can't say I'm fully onboard with that gritty feel. I enjoyed shooting with it but don't think I'm gonna get it again, maybe some time long in the future but for sure I'll experiment with other film stocks a lot before I circle back to this one.
Here are some photos I took with my Pentax Auto 110 which uses 110 film cartridges. For these photos I used a turquoise tinted film by Lomography . I haven’t edited this photos at all, this is how they come out from the camera. I’m loving the results. Might even print some and will for sure experiment with other tinted films.
